Corrie Lynn Green was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia just under the mountains of Shenandoah National Park.
Her family had a gospel bluegrass band and there were bluegrass jams at her parents house every Friday night all through her teen years. Corrie starting writing about the trials, tribulations, rebellions, and joy of her rural Appalachia upbringing turning the music of her youth into its own unique Appalachian Folk sound and story.
Discovered by renowned producer and engineer D.W. Fearn during the pandemic they have gone on to complete two albums in two years. Corrie Lynn has been recognized for her songwriting placing 3rd in the prestigious Stephan George songwriting contest in 2022, top 10 songwriter in the nation at The Tucson Folk Festival in 2023, Early Bird songwriters pick for NewSong Music Leaf Festival 2023, and began her entry to the folk festival seen playing Tucson Folk Festival, RedWing Roots Festival, Northern Appalachian Folk Festival, The Blue Plate Special Stage and many more to standing room onlycrowds.
Joined by Billy Bird on Bass, Jeff Patterson on guitar, and Bruce Johnson on Lap Steel and Mandolin this is a unique opportunity to catch The Corrie Lynn Green Band in their home town.
